In a touching scene from South Africa’s Kruger National Park, a baby elephant was rescued by its family after struggling to escape a mud hole.
Footage captured by tourists shows the young elephant playing in the mud alongside its herd. However, the fun quickly became a challenge when the little elephant decided to climb out but couldn’t get free.

Despite several attempts, the baby elephant repeatedly slipped back into the mud, drawing laughter from onlookers. But as the struggle continued, it became clear that the calf needed help.
“Come on! Come on!” one person can hear encouraging words as the elephant repeatedly tries to climb out.
Eventually, two older elephants stepped in, using their trunks to lift the calf out of the hole and onto solid ground.
The crowd-watching cheered as the baby elephant finally made it out, thanks to its family’s assistance.
The person who filmed the scene remarked, “It was incredible to see the strong bond elephants share, especially their care for the young.”
